In the juice manufacturing industry, fruit peel waste is constantly sent to landfills and is the 4th biggest type of avoidable waste, with citrus fruits being one of the most highly consumed types of fruits. Demand for fruit and fruit juices is increasing due to their health benefits and consumer awareness, leading to the inevitable increase in waste, a problem that must be tackled.
This project uses citrus fruit peel waste to create an anti-ageing body wash designed to reveal younger looking skin whilst also helping the environment. Using 100% recycled citrus fruit peels for their exfoliating and antioxidant properties. Targeted at middle-aged women, the brand sells the science behind the product.
